About Me

Hello! My name is Scarlett Young, and I am a current second-year student at the University of Georgia studying public relations and psychology. I hope to continue my academic endeavors to pursue my MA in integrated ADPR. During my collegiate career, I have grown my communication skills through experience and feedback in various areas of copywriting ranging from PRSSA blog posting to reporting coverage of local and national news subjects. Beyond this, I have expanded my statistical and analytical abilities in advertising and marketing knowledge, and my ability to make and creatively implement design choices to convey clear messages. My creative foundation lies in strong graphic design skills with experience in Photoshop, InDesign and Canva as well as in running successful social media platforms. My goal moving forward is to go into a field where I can use my creativity and knowledge of both human psychology and tailored communication to convey messages for public relations and advertising purposes. I hope to be able to bring all of these skills and experiences to future public relation and advertising campaigns.
